    Job Description

    The Life Brokerage Agreements Representative administers contracting and assists the National Accounts VPs in ensuring distributors are contracted correctly in order to sell life insurance products. The incumbent will work directly and in conjunction with National Accounts to contract brokerage distributors, including but not limited to, making sure all documents are complete and accurate, soliciting background investigations, and coordinating and maintaining the relevant accompanying compensation schedules.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Work within established deadlines and meet time standards when responding to inquiries by providing accurate information

    • Work with National Account VPs to qualify Distribution Partners for agreements, executing and implementing agreements in both the JHUSA and JHNY statutory companies.

    • Track contract documentation to and from the Distribution Partner to ensure proper handling and processing

    • Handle confidential information including the initiation of background checks for all applicable Firms and Firm Principals

    • Handle phone and e-mail inquiries efficiently

    • Update compensation schedules for all agency levels as instructed by National Accounts VPs and Distribution Senior Management

    • Maintain records and files for easy access when necessary, including both paper and electronic files. (SalesForce)

    • Work with John Hancock's internal clients daily (Licensing, Compliance, Compensation, etc.)

    • Work within compliance guidelines

    • Investigate and resolve business needs/issues that arise within critical turnaround times

    Recommended Experience

    • Post-secondary education and/or equivalent business experience

    • 1+ years of life insurance industry experience

    • LOMA, Life Insurance licenses, or other designations preferred

    Knowledge & Skills:

    • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel

    • Strong verbal and written skills

    • Ability to work as a great teammate

    • Strong customer service skills

    • Must possess a strong sense of urgency

    • Work independently with minimal supervision

    • Ability to handle multiple tasks, be flexible and able to adapt to a fast paced, ever-changing environment

    • Must be proactive and capable of constant follow through in order to get work processed

    The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

    Primary Location

    Boston, Massachusetts

    Salary range is expected to be between

    $43,800.00 USD - $73,000.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
