Opportunity

This position has responsibility for technical service support of Kohler marine generator sets throughout the Americas. Technical scope includes our entire line of marine generators and various systems.

Position requires a highly self-motivated individual with a sense of urgency toward resolution of questions, issues, and requests, to further Kohler's world class brand and relationships through excellent product support. Must be able to successfully handle and prioritize multiple projects. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well both individually as well as within the KPS organization.

Specific Responsibilities

• Provide world-class service support to KPS customers.

• Provide technical support to Distributor service personnel including telephone support, email support, warranty processing support, and on-site hand-on support.

• Support training events in Mosel as well as regional service training at Distributor facilities. Also support distributor service certification analysis and service audits under the direction of the KPS Technical Sales-Mgr Marine.

• Provide level 1 support for revieing and approving warranty claims for the Americas region and under the direction of the Global Warranty administrator.

• Assist the Technical Sales Manager-Marine track monthly warranty expenses for the Americas, enabling trend spotting and driving continuous improvement to products in the field.

• Perform field installation audits and reviews when necessary, ensuring that distribution and OEMs are installing product properly under the direction of the KPS Technical Sales-Mgr Marine.

• Develop and conduct monthly marine service calls with the distribution channel for the Americas. Collaborate closely with the other Regional Service-Mgrs. to promote one common message globally.

• Assist in the development and updating of technical literature and service bulletins.

• Identify product improvement initiatives using various customer feedback methods to drive warranty reduction, increased "as-delivered" quality, and improved customer satisfaction.

• Assist in the development of continued distributor and dealer standards.

• Collaborate closely with the SPD team to drive solutions for SPD projects needed for marine products in the field. Drive customer feedback data to the necessary departments and conclusion

Skills/Requirements

• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree or bachelor's degree in business is desirable, or 8 to 10 years of experience in the service and support of technical products requiring field maintenance and/or repair.

• Field and inside service training experience preferred. Minimum of two years of experience in a leadership capacity and supervisory role required.

• Demonstrated advanced technical aptitude, familiarity with warranty and labor claims, and proven ability to analyze processes/procedures, define obstacles, brainstorm solutions, utilize cost/benefit analysis tools, implement changes, measure results, and adjust processes in real-time to ensure desired results efficiently and proactively achieved.

The salary range for this position is $89,800 - $114,100. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
