The Manager of Sales I leads a team of Marketing Representatives in the assigned territory to reach and exceed company goals through managing and mentoring of individual agents. provides daily management of Marketing Representatives assigned to a designated region. In conjunction with the Director of Sales, develops a comprehensive sales strategy/marketing plan to maximize membership growth in specific market segments.
Establish a team of licensed agents to meet and exceed membership growth targets.
Recruit top-talent and consistently remain fully staffed.
Provide ongoing training to new and established Marketing Representatives
Consistently monitor Marketing Representatives activity to ensure success.
Motivate and drive team to meet and exceed enrollment targets
Develop new & nurture existing Community Partner relationships
Continue to build the Wellcare brand through grassroots marketing
Work closely with contracted Providers to develop referral business
Focus on retaining new members and generating referral opportunities by having agents consistently contact their book-of-business and provide excellent customer service.
Create a strategy for Annual Enrollment Period and execute to ensure a high level of success.
Develops market-specific sales plans to maximize enrollment growth in Plan Products, primarily Medicare Advantage.
Manages and tracks effectiveness of assigned Marketing Representative.
Provides leadership for the team and coaching for individual team members for performance development.
Implements Human Resource guidelines including hiring, goal setting, performance evaluations, salary administration, and affirmative action. Ensures department compliance to Company policies, procedures, CMS guidelines and government regulations.
Interfaces with targeted community leadership to impact sales growth within specific geographic segment.
Interfaces with internal departments/Associates to ensure alignment and consistency in working toward targeted goals.
Completes assigned business projects/deliverables as needed within specified time frame.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum five years relevant experience, including two to three years experience managing a sales staff involving multiple locations.
Experience working with the uninsured, under-insured or under-served populations
Life and Health Agent's License required
