  • Overview

    The primary role of the Paper Support Specialist (PSS) is to support designated Sellers, Sales Teams, and designated Vendor Partners.

    The PSS role is focused on driving increased revenue, margin, and market share by providing sales expertise to advance sales opportunities; provide product training to increase seller acumen; and coordinate vendor sales support, as needed.

    Vendor Support: The PSS may be called on to provide support that includes vendor approved sale training, coordinating communication, and completing vendor approved tasks and requests.

    Category Sales Training & Development: The PSS is uniquely required to develop industry content, curriculum, communication, and other content that increase the sellers product knowledge and selling effectiveness.

    Customer Satisfaction support includes assisting sales teams with the SOP for non-code order pricing and placement. Coordination with COE and Vendor to resolve customer escalations.

    Work Quality: Effectively presents solutions to customers, maintains commitments to deadlines, timelines, and maintains strong follow-up communication.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Interface directly with sales teams and/or customers on category: Sales calls, sales strategy, promoting sales incentives, training, coordinating vendor engagements, and other related activities which enable Paper revenue growth and visibility.

    • Perform approved Departmental and Vendor Directed "Run-The-Business" tasks that enable the efficient sale and delivery of non-code pallet and truckload orders.

    • Assist with escalations related to non-code order placements. Coordinate with Vendor, COE or Sales Ops to resolve escalated customer satisfaction issues.

    • Partner with ODP Pricing, Vendors, and Product teams to streamline communication and improve sales processes.

    Education and Experience:

    • High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelors preferred

    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in related field

    • Inside or Outside Sales, Customer Service, Client Services

    • Basic computer skills and the ability to use computers and technology for information, and to access information necessary to complete the job

    • Presentation and communication skills
