    Your role at Clorox:

    As the Retail Merchandising Excellence Manager, you play a pivotal role in the enablement of the display and instore merchansding tools, that have Clorox represented as gold standard in creating frictionless experenices for shoppers and consumers with our brands in meaningful ways that enhance our ability to build brands through our customers.

    Reporting to Customer & Retail Excellence Leader, you will be accountable to driving excellence in execution that delivers incremental value for our customers, consumers and Clorox.

    In this role, you will drive stewardship, standards and guidelines to best in class shopper engagement in store that achieve excellence in display design principles at retail.

    You are person that exudes a passion for retail and bringing brands come alive instore. You are a natural collaborator, and are able to understand the importance of the E2E of display and merchandising tool standards and requirements from financial management, all the way through responsible supply chain management of sku's all while you drive passion and purpose for the Clorox brand and how they are represented in retail.

    As a detailed self-started, you are able to build and collaborate with multiple teams and bring a vision and help drive connected commerce and oriented individual, that can bring together cross functional partners and teams together in creating standards and operational guides with financial targets and KPI's that continuously improve Clorox ability to drive incremental growth and visibility with our retail partners.

    You work closely with our supply partners, suppliers and retail team to evaluate and bring tools and best practices to life that can drive growth for Clorox, Customer, and drive competitive edge at key points in the shopper journey.

    Your role is critical to ensure that we have strong standards, maintenance and accountability through strong KPI's and scorecards on the pre-post evaluation of tools and provide recommendations on mix management, overall supply metrics on tail management and create tools for maximum utilization.

    In this role, you will:

    Stewardship and Governance Guidelines and Principles:

    • Work in collaboration with the Brand Leaders and business teams to define the needs of the brands while balancing the needs of the customer.

    • Build standards and guidelines for best practices, design principles and criteria for enforcement for the creation, maintenance and customer specific initiatives that require unique or customized tools and communication.

    • Have a continuous improvement mindset to improve all aspects of display and merchandising insights, self-learning and build connectivity throughout the Global organization to best practices.

    • Ensure governance and process is established, standardized and regular reviews are executed at minimum 1x per quarter, and active engagement in commercial planning process annually (IBP)

    Stakeholder Management:

    • Collaborate and navigate the principles and practices of stakeholder management and engagement with all cross functional partners in the shape and accountability required to standardize and optimize merchandising principles and guidelines

    • Work with supply chain teams to ensure SKU management is optimized and customer accountabilities to forecasts are maintained with remediation steps to move out excess stock and inventory

    • Partner with the sales team to understand customer needs, priorities and where the best ROI can be established that align to the go-to-market strategies of where to win and how to play can be supported

    • Partner and collaborate with Studio teams throughout business rhythms to set goals and KPI measures needed to access tools for merchandising

    • Work with Sales strategy in maximizing the sell through and reach of display with scale to best sellers and widest distribution can be met.

    • Closely connected to retail excellence team and partners to evaluate the 'gaps' in executional tools that could be considered quick wins and achieve the financial KPI's and metrics for winning at retail. Incremental, display, competitive advantage base on priority brands and categories.

    Strategy in action and financial discipline :

    • Go to market strategies are clearly articulated and mapped to the retail merchandising principles and guidelines

    • Focus on core & key innovation with criteria and financial approval processes with your finance partners for tools and merchandising vehicles.

    • Create KPI's and score carding around forecast accuracy / waste avoidance

    • Continuous improvement mindset across all functions; assortment key learnings, instore learnings, and financial improvement

    • Create frictionless experiences for connected commerce with an eye to sustainability practices that align with Clorox overall ESG stewardship.

    • Ensure governance and process is established, standardized and regular reviews are executed at minimum 1x per quarter, and active engagement in commercial planning process annually (IBP)

    What we look for:

    • Minimum of 2 - 3 years of relevant experience, within CPG or related industry

    • Excellent time management, interpersonal and organization skills, with the ability to multi-task and balance priorities

    • Highly developed administrative, communication and analytical skills.

    • Demonstrated ability to be a strong team player

    • Strong technical MS Office - Excel and PowerPoint skills. Experience with customer POS data/Nielsen an asset.
