  • Job Summary

    As a ServiceNow BDE at SHI, you will play an important role contributing to the company's sales success. Working with prospective and existing SHI customers, you will be responsible for selling professional services related to the ServiceNow platform, and associated ServiceNow software licensing.

    The BDE will be part of the ServiceNow Team and will provide expertise on the entire ServiceNow platform to all SHI business units. The ideal candidate will be experienced with the ServiceNow capabilities of ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, SPM and SecOps.

    This position is a remote position however required to reside in the state of Illinois to support business needs as determined by SHI management.? It is expected that this role will require occasional travel within the US (up to 50%).

    Responsibilities

    Includes, but not limited to:

    • Creating and executing sales plans to consistently achieve or exceed your assigned quarterly sales quota

    • Work with assigned accounts to identify, progress and close sales of professional services and associated software licensing

    • Maintaining an expert level of knowledge and communication pertaining to the value of the ServiceNow platform, its component solutions, and that of SHI and its offerings

    • Building effective relationships with ServiceNow and collaborating to develop plans for assigned accounts

    • Act as an escalation point and advocate for critical customer issues

    • Participate in internal sales meetings and business development activities

    • Being the trusted advisor to the customer by understanding their existing and future road map to drive SHI services within the marketplace

    • Prospect qualification and the development of new sales opportunities and ongoing revenue streams

    • Arranging and conducting initial meetings and presentations

    • Sales process management and opportunity closure

    • Ongoing account management to ensure customer satisfaction and drive additional revenue streams

    • Work closely with Consulting Leads and/or Program Managers to successfully win new business

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 5 years in an account executive or equivalent role selling enterprise software solutions and/or software implementation services

    • Highly Desirable: Experience with ServiceNow ecosystem and/or ServiceNow partner

    Required Skills

    • Self-starter, comfortable delivering sales results in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment

    • Thorough understanding of solution selling techniques, preferably with some sales training and/or certifications

    • Consistent track record of achieving or exceeding quota

    • Demonstrated experience negotiating and closing statements of work and similar agreements with customers

    • College degree, preferably in IT, communications, commerce or business

    • Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and interpersonal skills with the ability to earn the trust of sophisticated customers and executives

    • Excellent proposal writing and verbal skills with an attention to organization, detail, and quality presentation

    • Ability to understand the "bigger picture" and the business drivers around IT and other lines of business

    • Experience in leading presentations and meetings using Teams, Zoom & WebEx

    • Must have strong verbal and presentation skills

    • Must be detail-oriented

    • Strong organizational and planning skills

    • Proficiency in MS Office tools - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

    Additional Information

    • The estimated annual base range for this position is $90,000 - $130,000 + commission. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
