    Position Summary:Sales Account Executive for Aetna's Specialty Division (Dental/Vision/Accident/Critical Illness/Hospital Indemnity) covering (Central West) for the middle market segment (employer groups with 101-5,000 employees).

    • Act as strategic business partner to insurance broker and consultants to optimize the positioning of Aetna's products and services and to attain profitability and membership objectives.

    • Develops and executes the sales process ensuring appropriate margins and customer/membership retention targets are achieved.

    • Assesses the competitive environment and develops sales strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and drive a competitive advantage.

    • Accountable for establishing and maintaining relationships with appropriate internal partners.

    • Ensure clients are kept informed of any regulatory issues and/or developing healthcare trends potentially impacting their benefits program strategy.

    • Works with clients to make certain that any changes resulting from this activity are appropriately addressed within the context of their business needs and employee benefits strategy.

    • Leads finalist presentations related to either new business or growth/cross sell opportunities on designated customers.

    Required Qualifications

    • 2 to 7 years successful group insurance sales experience.

    • Must reside in Market (Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado).

    • Must be able to travel in Market 50%

    • Active Life & Health Insurance Licenses

    Preferred

    • Located in Kansas city, St Louis, Denver or Omaha

    • Independently driven

    • Self-directed

    Education:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience).

    Pay Range

    The typical pay range for this role is

    $43,500.00 - $101,300.00

    This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
