    As a Sr. Solution Architect - FinOps, you will leverage your FinOps domain knowledge and industry expertise to guide large enterprises to FinOps maturity through a variety of avenues, both tactical and strategic. At the intersection of sales and professional services, you will dive into enterprise client use cases, pain points, and business objectives. You will maintain a strategic vision for your clients while getting them excited about Stratascale solutions. As a solution architect, you will use your FinOps knowledge, real-world experience, and the palate of Stratascale services & capabilities to craft, sell, and deliver bespoke solutions to optimize cloud spend, build governance guardrails, and adopt a culture of shared responsibility.

    This role intersects field sales, product management, development, and our public cloud Architects. The right candidate will be someone who understands the role that each of these personas plays in an enterprise pre-sales engagement. They will have worked as a FinOps Practitioner, Cloud Governance lead, Cloud Business Office Lead, Cloud Architect, or similar role. Those with a combination of technical hands-on work and pre-sales solutioning will be best equipped for success.

    Responsibilities

    Includes, but not limited to:

    • Lead technical discussions with clients regarding FinOps Solutions, Cost optimization and Cloud governance, Cloud cost accounting framework, FinOps planning during Cloud migration and provide expertise during the sales cycle

    • Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure a cohesive sales cycle with the clients and field sales teams

    • The ability to communicate (written & verbal) complex technical scenarios and situations to a variety of technical & non-technical audiences

    • Maintain knowledge of current and future cloud technologies through engagement with industry trade groups, technical publications, and interpersonal relationships

    • Provide education and guidance to the sales teams who identify and drive sales activities

    • Conduct presentations for clients, sales teams, management, and other departments to drive Stratascale brand

    • Identify and develop relationships with key technology partners that will drive Stratascale offerings

    • Participate and engage with Request for Proposal (RFP) responses

    • Create, submit, and review Statements of Work (SOW) for engineering services

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

    • 5+ years of FinOps experience including cloud governance, cost optimization, corporate accounting process(forecast, showback etc)

    • 5+ years of experience with at least one public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP)

    • 2+ years of pre-sales experience

    • Working knowledge and understanding of public cloud architectures

    Required Skills

    • Experience related to AWS, Azure, or GCP technologies such as migration planning, cost optimization, cloud governance etc.

    • Experience with Cost Optimization tools like CloudHealth, Cloudability, CloudCheckr, Flexera One, or Spot Cloud Analyzer

    • Experience working within Agile DevOps frameworks

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Excellent presentation skills

    • Ability to lead technical discussions with clients and presentations

    • Ability to collaborative with other internal departments and sales teams

    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills

    • Ability to adapt to changing technology environment

    • Ability to understand clients' environments and recommend appropriate technology

    Preferred Qualifications/Skills

    • Experience with cloud deployments, application modernization, DevOps, SRE,or cloud migrations at Fortune 500 enterprises

    Certifications Required

    If one of the mandatory certifications is not currently held , the successful candidate will be required to obtain at least one within 90 days of commencing the role:

    • FinOps Certified Practitioner

    Preferred

    • FinOps Certified Professional

    • AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Azure Administrator Associate orGoogle Cloud Engineer Associate

    • AWS Solutions Architect Professional

    • Azure Solutions Architect - Expert

    • Google Cloud Architect Professional

    • Additional Industry Cloud Technology Certifications relevant to the technology domains described above

    Unique Requirements

    • Position requires frequent travel to attend conferencesandvisit client sites (20%)

    Additional Information

    • This position's estimated annual pay range is $225,000 - $280,000, including a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
