    Responsible for providing subject matter expertise on the design and implementation of complex data network and voice solutions for business class customers. Works as a collaborative member of the sales team to market and sell the Company's product lines. Provides insight to customers on current network solutions. Works closely with account executives on presentations and the technical design of new sales. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience.

    Job Description

    We seek an experienced, passionate, and highly motivated Product Solutions Engineer (PSE) to bring our technology to life each day, establishing and exemplifying best practices in product activation, acting as the key technical expert in the execution of FreeWheel's, and our clients', most strategically important implementations, and illuminating client usage in support of improving FreeWheel's offerings.

    Because of the broad purview, this individual must communicate with customers and partners frequently, finding robust solutions to complex problems. Product Solutions Engineers are expected to draw upon their experience and creativity to ensure the success of FreeWheel's most demanding client initiatives, often addressing requirements which have never before been asked of FreeWheel by our customers and sales prospects.

    The Product Solutions Engineer will be specifically tasked to perform as the SME - Subject Matter Expert - for one or more product area. In the role will involve partaking in and providing input to Product Management, Product Marketing and Engineering Teams throughout the entire Serviceability Lifecycle process.

Our work philosophy is predicated on transparent collaboration across all departments throughout the product lifecycle. As such, other key elements and duties of a successful PSE include:

    • Act as an SME for one or more product areas within the Freewheel platform

    • Assist with use case and requirements gathering, prioritization in the backlog management process, ensure products meet success criteria and mitigate deployment risk with cross-functional testing

    • Guide new products and features through go-to-market phases and then evangelize them in market

    • Work in step with client account teams and Product Management to usher products through the commercialization process and prepare the rest of the client organization to deploy at scale

    • Execution of implementation projects, working to grow clients' product usage through new integrations

    • Participates in the product release cycle through requirement gather, design vetting, and user acceptance testing

    • Creates, reviews, and executes product test plans and cases, documents test progress, and reports results

    • Articulates technical solutions during presales process

    • Consults clients on viable opportunities which align with their current technology architecture

    • Evaluates client requests for technical feasibility, determines high-level requirements for implementation success, and aids the Account Manager in creating thoroughly informative requests for implementation resourcing

    • Captures technical details of client-specific implementations, and maintain this information within well-updated documentation of clients' technology architecture

    • Assists in preparation of materials for client renewal opportunities, product upsells, business reviews, account plans, etc.

    • Executing business and technical solutions for client project execution with a high degree of autonomy, providing innovative solutions to meet the specific needs of FreeWheel clients' newest and most demanding integrations

    • Working closely with the Product Management and Solutions Architecture teams to coordinate solution development within FreeWheel's production pipeline, especially in the context of bringing new products to life

    • Provides timely, technical support and problem resolution for escalated field service questions

    • Consulting clients on viable opportunities which align with their current technology architecture, determines requirements for implementation success, and aids the Account Manager in creating thoroughly informative requests for implementation resourcing

    • Acting as primary liaison between Client Team and Product Management, and between Client Team and Engineering for matters related to the Product Solutions Engineer's product focus, providing guidance and feedback on product usage and gaps or needs

    • Providing guidance to Revenue and Account Management teams in determining and executing against best technical strategy for client success

    • Articulates technical solutions during presales process

    • Provides trusted expertise and feedback in internal projects to improve product usage or customer service

    • Provides training to internal teams, and occasionally to our clients

    • Provides mentorship and guidance to junior team members

    • Provides client account coverage when requested to do by management to cover sickness/PTO or times of severe resource constraint

    About you:

    • BA/BS degree required

    • 3+ years experience in the online advertising/internet marketing or video/television advertising technology in a client-facing capacity

    • Strong technical skills and familiarity with scripted programming languages, SQL, TCP/IP communication, cURL, etc., as applicable to product area of focus

    • Proven experience with deploying complex systems at large scale.

    • Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability explain product functionality, technical design and limitations at the client's executive level as well as to developers or other client experts

    • Demonstrate a track record of exemplary software implementation and systems integration skills

    • Proven ability to drive large-scale projects with open collaboration, strong leadership and careful attention to customer requirements

    • Demonstrate an understanding of the value of the FreeWheel product suite and the ability to work in conjunction with the Project Management, Support Engineering and Account Management groups to devise strategies for Enterprise level solutions

    • Excited to help large companies manage their successful use of enterprise-focused technology.

    • Ability to evaluate customer requirements and lead in the determination of internal priorities
