    Position Description:

    This position may be located anywhere in the United States.

    Job Purpose and Scope

    Responsible for originating new asset-based loans by identifying, cultivating, maintaining, and strengthening new business referral channels and/or direct calling prospective asset-based lending customers. Screens, structures, negotiates and closes new asset-based loans in compliance with the Bank's loan policy and credit approvals.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Executes strategic and tactical plans to manage business development productivity within assigned territories.

    • Achieves financial, loan quality, and cross-sell targets.

    • Identifies, prioritizes, and develops strategies for high-value retention, expansion, and acquisition of new customer relationships by delivering knowledgeable advice and solutions.

    • Engages relevant business and bank partners in team-based customer development with expert delivery.

    • Leverages local market networks and centers of influence to identify, prospect, and pursue business opportunities to hit market goals.

    • Prepares, issues, and negotiates term sheets.

    • Prepares and presents new business screening memos.

    • Assists and supports activities of credit underwriting and loan closing.

    • Reviews and negotiates credit agreements and other loan documents.

    • Engages collateral appraisal firms as directed, coordinates appraisals with customers, and reviews collateral appraisal reports.

    • Engages field examination firms as directed, coordinates field examinations with customers, and reviews field examination reports.

    • Ensures procurement of borrower due diligence, including all requisite Know-Your-Customer information, in preparation for loan closings.

    • Communicates in a timely, consistent, and professional manner with the Bank's senior management, colleagues, bank prospects and customers, other lenders, consultants, and third-party vendors to resolve any issues that arise in the loan structuring and closing process, which includes reviewing and providing feedback on detailed underwriting and due diligence information.

    • Actively participates in loan committee calls/meetings, as directed.

    • Participates in and manages special projects related to marketing and new client acquisition as delegated by senior management.

    • Displays a high degree of integrity, trustworthiness, and professionalism at all times.

    • Knowledge of general commercial and industrial lending principles and practices.

    • Knowledge of structuring complex asset-based loans.

    • Knowledge of collateral monitoring practices and procedures.

    • Ability to maintain attention to detail and identify and address meaningful risk factors.

    • Ability to multi-task while managing exacting deadlines without supervision.

    • Ability to demonstrate a teamwork orientation with a strong work ethic, along with the ability and desire to learn quickly, contribute ideas, share best practices, and mange change effectively in a regulated yet dynamic environment.

    • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including presentation skills.

    Salary:The salary range for this position is $200,000-$230,000

    Position Requirements:

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field, or commensurate work experience, required.

    • Minimum of five (5) years of lending, sales, or business development work experience with asset-based lending required.
