Who You'll Work With
Cisco seeks a Systems Engineer to join our Global Service Provider sales team working on a Tier 1 MSO account. Our account teamâ€™s partners closely with our customer to provide technical guidance in the area of IT/DC/Collaboration to aid them in improving their business operations. In this position, you will be working with technology experts to help them position solutions effectively against competing offerings. We are building a dynamic team to interact with the customer as they evolve their business and build out an international corporation as they acquire and onboard new corporations. Job requirements would include deep technical knowledge of Ciscoâ€™s IT/DC & Collaboration product portfolio, excellent customer facing skills, strategic mindset and preferably baseline knowledge in app development and API use. What You'll Do
You will maintain a broad knowledge of the business economics and trends of the industries and vertical markets in which one's customers conduct business and knowledge of how Cisco solutions add financial and strategic value.
Provide high-level and detailed consultative solutions
Technical and sales support for major account opportunities
Understand business requirements for customer base and be able to translate them into technical requirements
Understand and articulate Cisco's IT/DC/Collaboration Architectures and Vision
Facilitate better communications and understanding of customer requirements between customers, corporate and the field
Create, present and document technical solutions
Perform in-depth and high-level technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects
Partner with Account Manager to identify opportunities and develop/drive sales strategy (i.e. technical consulting, upper level management presentations, Cisco technology solutions, product requirements, and design validation)
Partner closely with Services and Partner organization as necessary to aid in sales process and solution delivery
Who You Are
You have sound knowledge of telecommunications and internetworking technology with a shift toward Cloud-based solutions. You have a demonstrated ability to accurately perceive customer and internal relationships as well as an intense desire to turn negatives into positives on behalf of Cisco.
Â· Education or equivalent experience: 4-year Engineering, Computer Science, or Business degree.
Â· CCIE is preferred â€“ Excellent understanding of Cisco products & solutions
Â· 5+ years in Systems Engineering or Architecture (Pre & Post Sales)
Â· You have experience with value messaging and management, sales skills/experience, driving strategic change/improvements for customer and Cisco
Â· You excel at process development, consulting or technical services experience required
Â· CxO level relationship experience, collaboration & influence
Â· Strong collaborative skills with CDO leadership and ability to influence roadmaps and product development
Â· You're skilled in leadership and influence of virtual, cross-functional teams, with program management, and quality management experience preferred
Â· You have a proven track record with diversified customer relationship development and interface management
Â· You're skilled at escalation and issue management and managing customer expectations
Â· Strong verbal and written communications skills
