Adecco Search is currently on the hunt for a Salesperson for the Western region of the US. Although this job is posted for the Los Angeles area, candidates who live anywhere on the West Coast will be considered. Due to extensive travel, this role will be home-based.
You will sell and market Automated Fare Collection System (AFC), Signs & Displays (S&D), Transit Management System (TMS) and Transit Lighting products/services to the transportation sector in North America. You will:
Identify potential customers of company's products and services. Communicate with each potential customer and create a pipeline of future business.
Make calls, presentations and demonstrations of products to each potential client and follow the established leads to achieve sales goals and objectives.
Develop sales projections and annual sales quotas.
Project sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
Establish marketing strategies and sales action plans for each sub-market and product.
Establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
Identify imminent opportunities and ensure company receives future bids or proposals.
Respond to Proposals, including coordinating and writing major portions of the proposal, and coordinate the response effort and submission of a responsive and responsible proposal.
Keep contacts of each potential customer updated.
Coordinate with vendors and prepare quotes for customers.
Schedule and facilitate sales meetings and product demonstrations.
Develop industry contacts for potential sub-contractors, competitors and other suppliers.
Establishing a professional network in the relevant market by participating in professional societies and workshops.
Coordinate and participate in industry sponsored workshops, conferences and product showcases to develop leads and market the company.
Contribute to team effort by assisting other team members so as to meet company goals and objectives.

Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics.
Proven track record in sales and marketing.
Effective participation in a multidisciplinary team.
Willingness to travel up to 50-75% of the time and travel on weekends.
Ability to operate in a fast paced and changing environment.
Willingness to participate in any meetings or calls during early morning or late evening to accommodate our international business partners or customers.
Ability to move heavy products around.
